There are over 3,000 printed books in the library, covering curriculum subject areas, as well as study skills, careers, fiction and graded English reads (for international students). We also have approximately 3,000 ebooks.

Books are arranged in numerical order with a system named Dewey where each book is classified by subject and given a number. It is then shelved according to the number on its spine. The Library catalogue will show you which books are in the library and their Dewey number so you will know where they are shelved.

We have approx 3,000 e-books, available via 2 online services called Ebrary and Dawsonera. Further information on these services is available on the E-library page.

Our ebooks are searchable on the Library catalogue.

The library holds curriculum-related DVDs, including off-air recordings, we also have a number of feature films. DVDs are shelved together with books on the same subject but you will find our feature films shelved together opposite the Library desk.

The Library catalogue will show you what DVDs the library owns and where they are shelved.

The library subscribes to a selection of printed journals. Please click here for our subject guides page and select your department to find out which ones are received for your course. Most journals are kept for 2 years. We also have many electronic journals through an online service called InfoTrac.

The Library takes the following newspapers:

Newspapers are kept for 2 weeks. Several of them (and others) are available online via General Onefile
